Bus Information

BUS FROM ITHACA TO NYC

If you are joining us from the Cornell University campus in Ithaca, transportation will be provided. On October 24th, a USACoach Bus will be departing at 6:30 AM from 577 University Ave, Ithaca, New York (West Campus Parking Lot) arriving approximately at 11AM to 1300 York Avenue, New York, NY 10065 (Weill Cornell Medicine). Please be sure to arrive 15 minutes early as the bus will depart promptly.

BUS FROM NYC TO ITHACA

For those returning to the Ithaca campus, transportation will be provided. On October 25th, a USACoach Bus will departing at 6:00 PM from 1300 York Avenue, New York, NY 10065 (Weill Cornell Medicine) and arriving at approximately 11:00 PM to 577 University Ave, Ithaca, New York (West Campus Parking Lot).

Hotel Information

If you are joining us from the Cornell University campus in Ithaca, a block of rooms has been reserved at the Bentley Hotel located at 500 East 62^nd Street, New York, NY 10065.

Getting to Weill Cornell from the Airport

Taxi

A taxi cab ride should be around 30-45 minutes from JFK, LaGuardia, or Newark airports to the Guest Facility. If you are coming from JFK, be prepared to pay around $60.00, as there is a flat fare of $52.00 from JFK to Manhattan. If you are coming from LaGuardia, the fare should be around $30.00, and around $65.00 from Newark. Tips and surcharges are not included in these fares.

Public Transit

You will need to buy a MetroCard to ride the subway. The MetroCard fare is $2.75 for a single ride, or $5 for round trip. You get one free transfer within two hours of first use. The trip from the airport should take you approximately 1-1½ hours.

From JFK:

Take the Jamaica Station bound AirTrain to Terminal D-Jamaica Station. The AirTrain fare is $5.00.

From Jamaica Station, walk to the World Trade Center bound E train to Lexington and 51^st St. and transfer to the Uptown 6 train.

Get off at E. 59^th St. and Lexington Avenue and walk down to 57^th St., for the M31 bus to the E. 69^th St. stop.

From LaGuardia:

Take the M60 bus towards West Side Broadway – 106 St via 125 St.

Arrive at E. 125^th St. and 2^nd Avenue. Take the Downtown 6 train to 68^th St and Hunter College.

Take the East side York Avenue crosstown M66 bus to East 68^th and York Avenue.

From Newark:

The Amtrak fare from Newark Airport (EWR) to Penn Station (NYP) is approximately $33.00. The trip takes 25-30 minutes.

From Penn Station:

Exit Penn Station at W. 32^nd St. and 7^th Avenue. Walk east to 6^thAvenue and north to W. 34^th St. Take the Uptown N, Q, or R trains to the Lexington Av/59^th St. station and walk east to York Avenue.
